Chris Bosh Let Go by Heat, NBA Future Unclear

Everyone knew it was coming, but today it became official.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Miami Heat parted ways with Chris Bosh, officially ending the power forward’s six year tenure with the franchise with whom he won two NBA championships. Bosh’s basketball career may have ended prematurely, but the formerΒ All-Star’s legacy will continue to live on.

“Chris changed his life and basketball career when he came to Miami,” team President Pat Riley said. “And he changed our lives for the better, in a way we never would have imagined when he joined the Miami Heat. We will forever be indebted to CB for how he changed this team and led us to four trips to the NBA Finals and two NBA championships. He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise.”

Along with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Bosh brought championship glory back to Miami, and his two former teammates wasted no time in paying tribute to Bosh.

A class act, it is unknown whether Bosh will ever step foot on an NBA floor again, but his name will eventually be enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame!
