Former Raptor Hoping for Comeback

Sullinger Trying to Make NBA Return

Jared Sullinger Trying to Lose Weight for NBA Comeback

Jared Sullinger’s time with the Toronto Raptors did not go according to plan.

Now, the power forward is trying to right his wrongs as he attempts to make an NBA return. The way he can do exactly that, is by shredding weight and getting back to playing shape.

“I lost a year of basketball directly because of what I have done — my weight and my eating habits,” Said the Ohio State Buckeyes alum. “My biggest was 320, when I was finishing my fourth year with Boston. Honestly, it was embarrassing.”

The former 21st overall pick is coming off an injury-riddled season. As a Raptor, he only saw the court in 11-games, and his poor production, alongside his weight issues cut his tenure in the city prematurely.

According to Sullinger he is now down to 285-pounds as he continues to work towards his goal.

“Now that I have basketball and my health, I don’t give a damn about anything else,” the Former Boston Celtic said.

Whether we ever do see ‘Sully’ back in the NBA or not, it is good to see that at the very least, he is putting his overall health and lifestyle as a top priority.
