Where Will Melo Land?

Where Will Melo Land?

Is Carmelo Anthony Destined to Join the Houston Rockets?

Plain and simple, Carmelo Anthony has to somehow get out of ‘The Big Apple’.

There are no ifs, ands, or buts.

Melo and the New York Knicks are headed towards a very ugly divorce and the split has to happen sooner rather than later. According to reports, Anthony has told the team that he is willing to waive his no-trade clause for two teams – the Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rumours continued to run rampant as it seemed as though Melo began to favour the Rockets in recent weeks, so much so, that a trade between the two clubs seemed imminent, up until Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN suggested that trade talks have stalled.

The Rockets have already made one blockbuster move, trading half of their roster to the Los Angeles Clippers in favour of acquiring superstar floor general, Chris Paul. The potential of playing alongside Paul and James Harden seems to appeal more for Anthony than playing with good friend LeBron James over in Ohio.

Anthony, who has two years and $54-million remaining on his current contract believes that a trade between the Knicks and Houston will still happen as Melo is planning on meeting with the new Knicks front office in the next few days.

The Knicks need to move on and Anthony needs to make his way out of town. Whether that will happen or not, only time will tell.

But hypothetical, if it is to happen, the three highest paid players on the Knicks roster will be Tim Hardaway Jr., Joakim Noah, and Courtney Lee.

Never change, Knicks!
