Barrett Commits to Duke

Canadian Phenom R.J. Barrett Verbally Commits to Duke University

With both Oregon and Kentucky vying for a shot at locking up Canada’s young phenom, 17-year old R.J. Barrett announced that he has committed to Duke University.

The 2018 classman will be a Blue Devil!

The 6’6”, 180-pounder, lauded a five-star prospect ranks number one amongst players in the State of Florida for 2018 as per 247Sports Composite. He has also been ranked 2018’s number one recruit in the nation by ESPN. Barrett reportedly also considered offers from Arizona and Michigan.

A “capable spot shooter with time and space,” and a guy “not afraid of the moment”, Barrett will bring the Duke Blue Devils a forward who can flat out ball! Praised as quite possible the best prospect out of Canada of all time, Barrett is the son of Rowan, a former member of the Canadian National Team and the god son of none other than Steve Nash.

If Barrett is to live up to his expectations, he will not only terrorize the ACC, but the NBA as well!
