Agent Andy Miller Relinquishes NBPA Certification in Investigation Aftermath
Following an investigation into the student-athlete recruiting process in college basketball in late September, the FBI raised the ASM sports offices, an agency founded by one of the game of NBA biggest names, agent Andy Miller.
Earlier today, it was announced that on behalf of the NBPA, the league’s players were notified that Miller had “relinquished his NBPA certification” as per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Miller represented quite the resume, representing the likes of Kevin Garnett, Kristaps Porzingis, and a trio Toronto Raptors players – Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, and Fred VanVleet.
There is no word on what the three Raptors will do from here, but according to Wojnarowski, many of Miller’s now-former clients plan to “remain with other agents in the company”.
The investigation is still ongoing and more information is expected to come out in the coming months.
