It has been a very difficult day around the NBA.

With the somber news coming in that former NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle passed away in a car accident, the tragic loss has touched everyone around the league. The 38-year old journeyman played 13-seasons in the NBA, suiting up for a plethora of teams, including the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and the Indiana Pacers.

According to a report from TMZ, Butler lost control of his vehicle, crashing into a parking meter and a wall early this Monday morning. As per officers on the scene, the belief is he was speeding prior to the accident. In his 13-seasons, Butler averaged 7.5-points per contest.

After playing his last NBA season with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2015-16 campaign, Butler was last seen in Ice Cube’s BIG3.
