Sixers Trevor Booker Taking Aim at Becoming Billionaire of the Court
Trevor Booker is an NBA veteran who has found a niche for himself in the league for nearly a decade.
He is currently an integral part of the Philadelphia 76ers second unit. The Sixers are competing and are looking at making an unprecedented playoff run after years of atrociousness. The process is finally coming full circle and the Sixers are becoming a team to look out for as the playoffs near.
But off the court is where Booker is different. He is a serial entrepreneur who currently owns over 12-companies. He has also shared the interest in a half-dozen more with his college roommate Jonah Baize. It’s a pairing that may take Booker from being a millionaire NBA player to a billionaire entrepreneur.
“We actually started it with little to no money,” Booker said. “I think the only thing we really invested in was the website, which was huge for recruiting, and that was about $2,000. But after that, the money came from the kids and families up front, so we would house and feed them off that.”
The college friends first got involved in business by investing in a basketball academy in Charlotte back in 2011.
“When it all started out, we thought, ‘How can we make this scalable?’ Then it just took off,” Booker said.
While Booker’s time in the league may be coming to an end, his future looks as bright as ever as he hopes to continue to build a portfolio to one day become a billionaire.
“Maybe 30-35 years. I know I can get there,” Booker said of how long that might take.
If he invests correctly moving forward, anything is possible!
