Former Toronto Raptors Star Chris Bosh Hopes to Make NBA Comeback
Counted out by most, it seems like former Toronto Raptors superstar Chris Bosh is not ready to call it quits just yet.
It’s been a bit over two years since we’ve last seen Bosh on an NBA court, but he has not, at least to this point officially retired. Bosh last played on February 9, 2016 as a member of the Miami Heat, a franchise with whom he has won two NBA championship rings. Following that game, re-occuring blood clot ruled him out for the rest of the season.
In an appearance with ESPN First Take today, the former 11-time All-Star let it be known that the comeback is in the works and he still wants to play.
“I’ve been in the gym, I can still play basketball,” Bosh told host Stephen A. Smith. “No, I’m not done yet. I’m trying to come back.”
The 33-year old split time between the Raptors and the Heat during his 13-year NBA career, averaging 19.2-points and 8.5-rebounds. While it is unknown whether we will ever see Chris Bosh on an NBA floor ever again, he remains one of the classier players in the game and it would be incredible if he could end his playing career on his own terms.
But shoot threes and play no defense? Yeah, CB4 can see himself doing some of that in the league.
