Hornet’s Guard Kemba Walker Set to Replace Porzingis in All-Star Game
As another player goes down due to injury, he is replaced with another name.
Earlier in the week, New York Knicks young All-Star Kristaps Porzingis suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, forcing him to to miss the Upcoming All-Star festivities. The Latvian center will also miss the remainder of the season after being selected for his first career All-Star appearance.
It was up to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to plug another name into his spot.
His selection – Kemba Walker.
Although the regular season hasn’t been going as well as the Charlotte Hornets would have hoped, their franchise point guard Kemba Walker has been as good as ever, keeping his team’s playoff hopes alive. The UConn product was an All-Star last season and is currently averaging 23.0-points and 5.8-assists per contest.
The seven-year veteran heard his name thrown around in trade rumours for the past couple of months, but as the trade deadline has come and passed, Walker stayed put.
Hopefully, this will mark the last injury replacement for the All-Star Game!
