OneLegacy Sports Management Creating a Bigger Future in Canada

How a Sports Agency is Building a Future in the NBA for Canadians

Whether it is because of Vince Carter, or the Toronto Raptors in general, or simply the love of the game, the sport of basketball has taken off all across Canada.

And now, so is OneLegacy Sports Management, a sports agency headed by Mike George, an agent out of the Greater Toronto Area. It is yet another building block to what the sport of basketball has been doing in the country, and George’s company is becoming a big part of the game’s history in Canada.

“There’s no real dominant [basketball] agent in Canada,” said George on his decision to remain at home. “There’s so many talented kids coming out.”

Currently OneLegacy Sports Managements represents some of the biggest names in Canadian basketball, including NBA players of the calibre of Khem Birch, Dillon Brooks, and Dwight Powell.

“You can see that there are more fans than ever before. I think there are more kids playing than ever before,” Said Canada Basketball president and CEO Michele O’Keefe, agreeing with George on the growth of the game all across the country. “[It’s] exciting that there is enough requirement that there actually needs to be an agency here. The youth that we have in the pipeline are strong. The depth of the athletes’ potential is just growing every year.”

With stars like R.J. Barrett and Andrew Wiggins expected to carry the Canadian name in the NBA for years to come, there is reason as to why everyone should be excited about the country’s future in the game of basketball!
