Looking to Leave the 905?

Stackhouse Eying NBA Head Coaching Vacancy

Raptors 905 Head Coach Jerry Stackhouse Looking to Make Jump to NBA

The G League is not only a road to the NBA for players. The motto also applies for coaches!

After starting his coaching career as an assistant on the Toronto Raptors, the former Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons star Jerry Stackhouse has been the head coach of the Raptors’ developmental affiliate, the 905, leading the squad out in Mississauga, Ontario to it’s first G League title in just its second year of existence. With nearly an entirely new roster the following season, Stackhouse continued to work his magic, helping the 905 return to the G League Finals where the team would ultimately be swept by the Austin Spurs.

Nevertheless, Stackhouse’s coaching prowess has been put on notice and he is now looking to move on up into the NBA head coaching role.

Stackhouse is set to interview for the Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic head coaching vacancies.
