Utah Takes Game 1 Loss Against OKC, but Win Big with Mitchell Update
After starting Game 1 off on a big run in front of an electric Oklahoma City Thunder fanbase, things quickly went from good, to bad, to worse for the Utah Jazz.
Fortunately for them, a series-opening loss was the only thing they have to worry about as they await Game 2 back on the Thunders home floor. In the middle of the fourth quarter, rookie sensation Donovan Mitchell, suffered a lower body injury and was forced to undergo an MRI. Today it was revealed that Mitchell is dealing with a left foot contusion and his status for Game 2 has been ruled unknown, although all signs are pointing towards the fact that Mitchell will play.

“I feel pretty good, but we’ll just see how I feel tomorrow,” Mitchell said. “I think tomorrow will be the deciding factor for how I feel. But I feel fine right now.”
At this point Mitchell will be a game-time decision.
Despite being noticeably hobbled following the injury, Mitchell still led the charge for the road team, putting up 27-points and 10-rebounds, albeit in a 116-108 loss.
