NBA Legend Rodman Arrives to Singapore for Trump-Kim Summit
Hours before the Donald Trump-Kim Jong Un summit, NBA legend Dennis Rodman landed on location in Singapore.
Rodman claimed the reason for his arrival was “to see what’s going on” and that he hopes “that things turn out to be well for everyone in the world.”
The two world leaders are set to meet on Tuesday to start negotiations to eliminate North Korea’s rapidly advancing nuclear weapons program. The former Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons star Rodman is one of the few people outside of North Korea to have met Un. Rodman visited Un in North Korea’s capital, Pyongyang.
Whether or not Rodman will meet Kim on this visit, Rodman claims that Un “has bigger things to worry about than seeing me right now.” That being said, a surprise visit from the ex-basketball player is not out of the realm of possibility.
White House officials have said that Rodman will have no official role in the current diplomatic negotiations taking place in Singapore. He was not formally invited to the summit.
