Warriors Celebrate Championship with Third Parade in Four Years
It feels like we’ve been here before.
On Tuesday morning, the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors embarked on their third championship parade in the Bay Area in the past four years. With a similar championship core as last season, it were the newcomers who stole the show, taking in an experience that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Rookie Jordan Bell put on his best J.R. Smith impression with his Hennessy cravings, while Nick Young, well he was doing his best to make the ‘Swag Champ’ moniker stick.
The Warriors have reportedly spent $500K on alcohol alone for their celebration, including $400K on champagne following the sweep in Cleveland. Doing their best to match the Alex Ovechkin level of inebriation, the Warriors still seem to have a ways to go. With two parades already under their belt, the Warriors seem to know exactly how these things work.
