No. 2 Pick Out Sunday after Sustaining Injury in Summer League Debut

The Sacramento Kings have announced that Marvin Bagley III, the team’s 2nd overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft, experienced a tweak in his right hip flexor and groin area during Saturday’s Las Vegas Summer League game against Phoenix.

Bagley has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Clippers, and is doubtful for Tuesday’s game against the Grizzlies. He will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

The No. 2 overall pick out of Duke, Bagley scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in 32 minutes against the Suns, going head-to-head with No. 1 pick Deandre Ayton.
