NBA Stars Back LeBron James Amid Distasteful Comments From Trump

Not a week passes without President Donald Trump making some sort of distasteful comment regarding sports.

“Stay in your lane” is one of LaVar Ball’s many mottos and it has never rung more true than whenever Trump attempts to force his name into sporting news. Following an appearance on CNN, where James stated that Trump is trying to separate society through sports, the POTUS voiced his own opinion on his personal twitter page.

After officially launching his I Promise School, James’ latest philanthropic move has been met with an overwhelming wave of positivity – including admiration from the wife of the American president.

“I support LJ,” Jordan said in the statement through his spokes person in the wake of Trump’s tweet. “He’s doing an amazing job for his community.”

Many stars from around the NBA followed suit supporting James following the president’s inflammatory tweet.

Karl-Anthony Towns

Donovan Mitchell

Jared Dudley

Anthony Tolliver

Bradley Beal

Bill Russell

Last but not least, Don Lemon, the CNN anchor who had the opportunity to interview James voiced his own opinion on Trump’s tweet.
