Toronto Raptors’ Star Kawhi Leonard Thanks San Antonio in Letter
After months of silence, Kawhi Leonard finally speaks!
It has been a dramatic year for the quiet and introverted superstar, but now as a member of the Toronto Raptors, Leonard decided to pen an open letter, thanking the city of San Antonio and the Spurs organization. He posted the letter onto his social media account.

This marks the first statement that has come from Leonard himself in months.
Leonard spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career with the Spurs, and has averaged 16.2-points per game over that span. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year has also helped the Spurs win an NBA championship back in 2014 when he took home the Finals’ MVP award.
The 27-year old Los Angeles, California native will now enter his first season with the Raptors and will have the opportunity to test free agency next summer.
