NBA to Allow its Players to Wear Sneakers of Their Choice
It’s time for the League to step up it’s sneaker game as the NBA will allow its players to wear sneakers of any colour at any point during the upcoming 2018-19 campaign.
Regardless of which uniform combination a team is to rock, NBA players can mix and match their kick game according to their own stylistic beliefs. It is after all, part of the NBA’s “ongoing effort to allow its players to be expressive on the court.”

For most of the NBA’s history, teams were restricted to rocking either 51% white or black sneakers, with a small assortment of team colour accent, depending on who is at home and which team is visiting. By the late 2000s, more colour was introduced to the league with the likes of the Chicago Bulls being allowed to wear red shoes and the Los Angeles Lakers being able to wear yellow sneakers, in addition to the classic white or black .
In addition, Nike has created city uniforms for teams for the upcoming schedule as the NBA is getting ready to turn up the heat in on-court style.
