Bulls’ Lose Lauri Markkanen for 6-8 Weeks Following Right Elbow Injury
The Chicago Bulls would have liked their season to start on a better note.
On Thursday, Lauri Markkanen sustained a right elbow injury in practice which was later diagnosed as a high grade lateral elbow strain. Markkanen will be out 6-8 weeks as he begins to rehab from the injury.

In his rookie season, Markkanen averaged 15.2-points and 7.5-rebounds per game, cracking the All-Rookie team in the process. The 21-year old was one of the few bright spots in what otherwise was a lost year for the Bulls. He is expected to be a large part of the ongoing rebuild in Chicago.
