Anthony Davis Switches Agents, Signs with Rich Paul, Klutch Sports
LeBron James and Klutch Sports are taking over basketball.
Just days ahead of the start of training camp, New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis announced that he made a switch in agents this offseason, moving on from Thad Foucher and hiring Rich Paul, a long time friend of LeBron James and the headman over at Klutch Sports.
“It was for who I am right now in my career and what I’m trying to do,” Davis said on media day, explaining the reason for the switch. “I thought the change was necessary. That’s all it was. Just trying to be the most dominant player in the league. I think making that change to Klutch will help me do so.”
Davis will be eligible to sign the five-year supermax worth $230-million following the 2018-19 season with the Pelicans.=
“I’m here and I’m focused on winning with this squad right here and having a good squad,” Davis said. “Just want to go out there and play my hardest…My focus is to win, to come in every day and do all I can go help this organization while establishing myself as the best player on the floor every night.”
Paul plans on getting to work right away and hopes to meet with Pelicans official soon.
