Cleveland Cavaliers Fire Tyronn Lue, Larry Drew to Become Interim Coach
It’s been a rough first year without LeBron James.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have yet to win a single game and management figured it is time for a change. On Sunday morning, the Cavaliers fired head coach Tyronn Lue as per sources close to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Larry Drew will take over coaching duties on an interim basis.
Lue took over for David Blatt midway through the 2015-16 season and took the Cavaliers to the Finals each year since, winning the NBA championship in his first year at the helm. Lue has gone 128-83 in the regular since, but the Cavaliers have yet to win a game this season through their first 6 games.
Larry Drew has head coaching experience, most recently with the Milwaukee Bucks.
