DeMarcus Cousins Slated to Return Against Clippers on January 18
The best team in the NBA is about to get better.
Golden State Warriors Steve Kerr announced that DeMarcus Cousins is expected to be back in the line up by January 18 when the Warriors take on the Los Angeles Clippers. The plan is to have Cousins start upon his debut after missing the first half of the season rehabbing an Achilles injury.
“I’ll start him,” said Kerr. “After that, everything’s on the table. We have to figure out what the rotations will look like, how many minutes he can play. We’ll have to play around with him — the minutes, the combinations, the sets. We haven’t had a player like him here before.”
While Kerr did not go into specifics, Cousins is expected to start off with minutes restricted. There is also a possibility that Cousins returns against the New Orleans on the 16th.
Cousins averaged 21.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game throughout his eight year career.
