After Injury-Plagued Tenure in Memphis, Parsons and Grizz Part Ways
It’s been a frustrating couple of years in Memphis for Chandler Parsons.
On Sunday, the Grizzlies have opted to part ways with the oft-injured shooting guard. As Parsons leaves the team, his agent James Dunleavy will work with the team on coming up with a suitable resolution. Parsons is still owed $38 million of the four-year, $94-million he originally signed with the club.
Parsons has not played since the third game of the Grizzlies season, leaving with right knee soreness. He has been medically cleared for action as of December 21.
Now 30-years of age, Parsons has not played in at least 80 games in any of his eight NBA seasons.
