The best Jordan pack we’ve seen in a while, the “Fear Pack” featured killer looks at the 3, 4 and 5, three of our favourite Jordan designs. The best part was the subtle olive influences on the 5. A killer pack, these were absolutely worth camping out for.
Reebok Shaq Attaq “Black”
The Big Man’s best sneaker in possibly it’s best colorway. Though the OG Shaq Attaq sold out earlier this year, all us fans of the Big Shaqtus had a chance to get a beautiful black and blue colorway. Pump tech, and the Shaq Attaq design? No way this wasn’t a must-cop.
Eh eh eh! Big men ruled the month of August, as evidenced by this brilliant drop from Adidas. Beautiful tribal patterns, in a classic 90s style. Perfect for fans of defensive dynamo from Georgetown, the Mutombo was also accompanied by some fantastic House of Mutombo
Nike Air Foamposite “Weatherman”
The original shoe that changed the shoe game is back with something crazy enough to deserve the Foamposite name. The Weatherman sported a straight up ridiculous doppler radar style design on the sides, making this an outstanding addition to anybody’s foam collection. As for anyone who missed the first drop? Expect to pay through the nose.
Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red”
Did you miss the launch of this pack? Well if you did, it ain’t no problem because the Fire Reds are still widely available. Resellers bought dozens, despite the fact that this was a huge wide release. Up to 2 days after the drop date, Eastbay still had a full size run. There’s something to be said about a Jordan everyone can get, but, isn’t that missing the point?
Nike LeBron X “Celebration” Pack
Like the Fire Red Jordans, the LeBron Celebration pack makes this side of the list for strictly game related reasons. Super limited in release, it’s bad enough this pack cost $500, but evidence has surfaced on Twitter that all three packs shipped to the Chicago House of Hoops location were sold before the store opened. Our hearts go out to those sneakerheads who camped all night just to get screwed by the staff.
The black tongue Fire Red 5 was definitely worth our time, as was Reebok’s reissue of the Question. As big Iverson fans as we are, you know we copped those. Big love also to the LeBron 10 Low in Watermelon, and Barkley Posites in Gamma Green.
September is shaping up, with the Thermal Map Foamposites confirmed so far.
