Now that fans know what’s on Kevin Durant’s mantle (ahem, a Most Valuable Player award), the NBA world is wondering what we’ll see next on his feet. Under Armour has reportedly offered KD an approximately $325-million contract over 10 years now that his $60-million, seven-year contract with Nike has expired. Unconfirmed sources are saying the deal may also include a financial stake in the company. News of the offer has fueled speculation that Durant could return to his hometown of Maryland, where UA’s headquarters is located, to play for the Washington Wizards.
The Oklahoma City Thunder small forward is largely considered to be one of the most marketable players in the league, second only to LeBron James himself. If the deal goes through, the endorsement would nearly double his $16.5-million salary.
