Hot off the heels of #NBASitcoms, the latest basketball-related meme to go viral (and prove that fans really need something better to do during the off-season) is #NBASweets. Alongside similar time wasters such as #NBAMusicians and #NBASuperheroes, the hashtag game first introduced by the Atlanta Hawks blew up, spawning humourous entries from fans and teams alike. Here are some of our favourites, courtesy of NBA teams across the league.

Lucas “Bebe” Nogeuira is the new Brazilian centre who was recently traded to the Toronto Raptors for John Salmons and a second-round pick next season. Now that he’s finally settled into the NBA, he gets his own candy bar.

What’s better than one Jeff Teague? Three, of course. The Atlanta Hawks put their best effort into this ‘shop, now with “richer chocolate taste!”

This masterful response needs no further introduction, unless you don’t know your Sixers by heart. This one’s centre Joel M&M-biid.

No campout is complete without chocolate, graham crackers and our favourite, (Quincy) Marsh-Miller.

Okay, technically this guy’s retired, so hat tip to the 76ers’ community manager for having a long memory. Clemon Johnson returns to the team’s roster, immortalized as lemon candy.

This one’s also a bit of a cop-out, but we love it. For a bit of a throwback, the Bucks look to their roots and remember one of their greatest players of all time: Cookies and Kareem.

As for a more current player, the Bucks turned to Giannis Antetokounmpo, whose name was already a mouthful before they turned it into an updated Whatchamacallit bar.

The Nuggets’ recent Bosnian draftee Jusuf Nurkic provided the perfect ammunition for this game.

Even after being assigned to the D-League, Jae Crowder is still remembered by the Mavs.

Anderson Varejao becomes our favourite chocolate.
