If you haven’t paid Livestock’s new location a visit, you might want to. The news was easy to miss given its low-key announcement on Instagram, but the retailer at the forefront of Canada’s collective shoe game has opened up a fourth shop twice the size of its previous Gastown location in Vancouver. Already an international destination (and web retailer), Livestock is a boutique that peddles in some of the world’s best exclusive styles. Notably, the new location in the Chinatown district at 141 East Pender St. has more of a focus on accessories and clothing, according to Hypebeast.
The store itself has us blown away. Long and narrow, the boutique was designed by Lukas Peet and the building it lies within spans four storeys. According to the Livestock blog, the fixture now features the boutique itself, a multipurpose gallery, a restaurant and a space housing Chinatown’s Fortune Sound Club, with whom Livestock partnered to make the new shop a reality.
