The newly-formed partnership between Beats by Dre and Apple has finally borne fruit with an update to one of Dre’s earlier models. This new, wireless version of Beats’ Solo2 headphones that launched earlier today is similar in function to the original style introduced over the summer, sporting the same acoustics and a fold-up design. However, the lightweight cans now sport a button that allows their wearer to skip songs on the fly and, of course, do away with the cord. The rechargeable headsets now connect to your device of choice via BlueTooth for up to 12 hours of playback. They also feature an on-board microphone for taking phone calls.
You’ll be able to grab a pair in one of several color options shortly on Beats By Dre’s website.
