Not into smart watches heavier on rubberized bands than they are on designer cachet? Online retailer Gilt, super-famous designer Michael Bastian and tech company Hewlett-Packard are teaming up to bring forth a luxury smart watch that has more in common with luxury automobiles than with your car’s Tom Tom. The 44-millimetre, stainless steel watch interfaces with both iOS and Android phones, enabling its wearer to receive weather, social media, text and email notifications; manage their calendars; and even remotely control their music. The water-resistant accessory will also stay ticking—or whatever it does—up to seven days before it needs to recharge.
The MB Chronowing will be available in two styles November 7 via Gilt’s website.
