Standard Apparel showed off some of the latest goods from the likes of Champion, Fred Perry and more at its preview of next year’s spring and summer collections. And they delivered. The brands on tap offered a mix of classic, generation-spanning craftsmanship and newer labels whose innovation and modern looks had us ready to skip winter and head straight into the warmer months—after all, it’s never too early to plan ahead. Herein, we give you a sneak preview of four must-cop early-season collections that are on point for the man on the go. (That’s you, buddy).

Todd Snyder x Champion Clothing
Designer Todd Snyder once again lends his creativity to Champion’s long legacy of producing comfortable active wear in his latest chill collaboration with the brand. Signature heather greys and slates combine with thin stripes and bolts of chalky colour for a laid-back line comprised of T-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, sweaters and even a button-up shirt or two. The slim warm up sweatpants and sweatshorts are especially perfect for hitting the court (or just chilling out after a game of pick-up).

Côte&Ciel
Côte&Ciel is a Parisian brand that makes architecturally-inspired backpacks and accessories engineered to travel well. Their flagship Isar Rucksack is a great example of what they do, built with cycling in mind but capable of standing up to life’s other challenges, too. Its asymmetric design means you can open it from the top, or turn it on its side and access it as a duffel bag-style carryall. As with many Côte&Ciel products, the unique design also houses a laptop. The brand also offers a full line of protective phone pouches and tablet sleeves for the rest of your digital goods.

Nau

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Nau’s mission is to outstrip industrial standards when it comes to environmental sustainability and quality construction. They make their clothing in a way that least impacts the environment, including the Riding Jacket that’s part of their commuter line. True to Nau’s obsession with modern style, it’s cut like a blazer (complete with slim tailoring). However, instead of wool or cotton, the technical stretch fabric is actually made from a recycled polyester that remains breathable and sacrifices little range of movement. Zip pockets keep your stuff safe when you’re on the go, too, while the reflective details keep, well, you out of harm’s way.

Fred Perry x Nigel Cabourn

The brand got its start in the world of table tennis (Fred Perry being a ping pong champion and all), eventually branching out and embracing menswear mainstays such as the classic polo shirt. Next season, the aforementioned piece of classic sportswear will get a bold update with the new Nigel Cabourn collaboration, comprised of pieces sporting mixed fabrics, patches and loud patterns—Cabourn even fixes a singlet over a polo for some built-in layering. The company’s famous bags are also getting re-skinned in cool textures reminiscent of carbon fibre. Who said you couldn’t teach a classic brand new tricks?
