If your idea of a relaxing holidays involves sipping hot chocolate with your loved ones, you’re probably going to miss out on some of the season’s biggest sneaker releases. Christmas has come early for sneakerheads in the form of five awesome holiday packs.

Nike Basketball 2014 Christmas Collection
The biggest drop this season comes courtesy of Nike Basketball, a collection comprised of new LeBron 12, Kobe 9 and KD 7 silhouettes in holiday-centric colourways. The red and white Kobes, aptly nicknamed “Knit Stocking,” cleverly play with the fact that they’re Nike’s first-ever Flyknit basketball shoe. In addition to leather trim, they also feature a hidden message on the inside of the shoe that says “Mamba’s Greetings.” The “Akron Birch” LeBrons sport a photorealistic camouflage upper, paying homage to LeBron James’ hometown. The most interesting of the bunch, the KD 7 “Eggnog,” come with a creamy-smooth white and red upper paying tribute to Kevin Durant’s favourite holiday beverage (seriously). The pack is slated to drop the day after Christmas, Dec. 26.

Asics Christmas Pack 2014
If you’re in need of a casual kick, hit on the runners trend. Asics dropped its holiday pack of shoes on Nov. 22 in three wintry colourways. The collection includes the Gel Lyte 2 “Snowman” with a white suede upper and metallic gold laces. The other two kicks, both in the Gel Saga silhouette, are dubbed “Christmas Tree” (so named for its red, green and grey suede upper) and “Santa” (sporting a red suede upper with white suede toes). All feature retro low-top construction and mesh sections over the toes.

Holiday 2014 N7 Collection
Although Nike has dropped an N7 holiday collection annually for the past seven years, it continues to be one of the most criminally overlooked collections we know. The pack pays homage to Native American and Aboriginal culture with both men’s and women’s apparel and kicks. This year, we’re looking forward to a teal and gold version of the KD7, featuring a raven design on the upper. Also included in the pack is a men’s N7 Nike Free Inneva Woven with a woven upper in purple and gold. The shoes have been available since Nov. 8 and are part of an effort to raise awareness for the N7 Fund, which supports athletic programs for native youth.

Nike Air Python Holiday 2014 Collection
This two-pack of low-key Air Pythons comes in seasonal obsidian and cream colourways released specially for the holidays. The old-school, mid-top silhouette of the street shoes bears an all-over faux python leather upper and features a leather lining as well. Stitched details bind a white Air Force 2 outsole to the shoe. Unlike many of Nike’s kicks, these do not feature the brand’s signature swoosh. These new Pythons dropped Nov. 20 over at NikeLab.
