According to a short interview published in ESPN the Magazine, rapper Wale “is talking” to pop culture impresario Kanye West about helping him redesign the Washington Wizards’ uniforms. As the Wizards’ new creative liaison, Wale is using his influence to provide the franchise with an injection of fans. The D.C. native points out that he sees the role as similar to that of Drake, the Toronto Raptors’ global ambassador. “I want to be a shot in the arm to D.C. basketball. My job is to provide a spark, at all costs,” Wale told ESPN. “We want to sell this place out.”
