The Coolest Fashion Designer Car Collabs

The marque of your luxury automobile is just as important as the label on your menswear—and now more often than ever, the two are often one and the same. As classic car brands like Porsche and Ferrari dabble in design beyond superfast coups, so do fashion designers lend their unique brand of style to the things that move us. Take a look at these top-tier collaborations between fashion brands and high-end auto manufacturers.

Paul Smith x Land Rover Defender
To help mark the final year of Land Rover’s Defender model, Paul Smith gave the iconic design a makeover with a 27-colour paintjob and custom leather and fabric Maharam upholstery. The vehicle also comes fitted with limited edition badges and a Paul Smith dashboard clock. The special 4×4’s launch coincides with the opening of Paul Smith’s newest flagship store.

Filson x AEV Jeep Wrangler
Heritage workwear brand Filson and Jeep worked together to create this rugged version of the Wrangler. This off-road model takes several cues from Filson, with a trademark green paintjob and an included duffle bag, briefcase and seat back pocket set built to match the automobile’s aesthetic. It’s available in both two- and four-door editions starting at just over $70,000.

Ermenegildo Zegna x Maserati Quattroporte
Like the latest Yeezys from Adidas, this collab between Maserati and Zegna is billed as a limited edition f epic proportions—only 100 Quattroporte will ever be produced when the car begins production in July. It features an exclusive Platinum Silk tone paintjob and interior upholstery done up in leather and silk, inspired by Zegna’s menswear collections. Of course, Zegna released an owner’s collection of accessories designed to match the vehicle’s style.

Hermes x Hyundai Equus
This particular collab between Parisian brand Hermes and Hyundai is likely the result of the latter company’s latest re-branding scheme that sees it entering the world of premium autos. The stretch limo sports a leather-lined cabin designed by Hermes and is accompanied by more than 20 handmade accessories from the fashion house.

Versace x Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

The Versace Murcielago is likely one of the rarest special editions ever built by Lamborghini, according to GTSpirit. Only a handful were produced in the run, each with a unique paintjob bearing Versace’s iconic Greek key design on the doors and upholstery.
