The 2015 NBA Playoffs battle is in full effect with all eight teams gunning for a berth in their respective conference’s semi-finals. As for the arguably more important stuff happening off the court, we’re starting to see some top contenders emerge in the style category. It’s an odd thing: after white shed it’s Labour Day association in recent years, it all but disappeared from guys’ wardrobes. However, Mike Conley, Damian Lillard and Steph Curry clearly don’t find pulling off the neutral hue too daunting. They’ve incorporated it into their formalwear wardrobes (and Steph even has the balls to rock a white jacket with denim). Right on.

On the other side of the spectrum, Matt Barnes, Jerryd Bayless and Steph Curry prove that prints don’t have to be punch-in-the-gut colourful to grab attention. Here, they take polka dots and florals to a dark new dimension for a black and white motif that works especially well for deconstructed, casual looks.

Nothing says summer like spot-on stripes. Kosta Koufos, Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala show us the perfect way to rock them—under a sharp blazer, or solo with jeans. No matter how you pull them off, take a page out of their book and keep things casual.

NBA players have gravitated toward classic headgear for years now, but few have managed to avoid the 50s gangster look (we’re looking at you, Carmelo Anthony).
