5 Dope Sneakers Dropping During Playoffs


We’ve seen players rocking some dope kicks on the court during the postseason, but the best sneakers are the kinds you can go out and cop yourself. These are our favourite new releases scheduled to drop during the 2015 NBA Playoffs.

Under Armour Curry One MVP
In honour of Stephen Curry’s Most Valuable Player Award, Under Armour has announced a special MVP colourway of his signature Curry One sneaker. Looking sleek in gold and black and featuring Charged Cushioning and AnaFoam technology, it’s scheduled to launch June 13—perhaps in anticipation of the Golden State Warriors’ Finals push. (We can see it happening.)

adidas Crazylight Boost Rookie of the Year 2015
Adidas put together a little something something to celebrate Andrew Wiggins earning this year’s Rookie of the Year award—an extra-bright version of the Crazylight Boosts he’s been wearing since signing on with adidas. The shoes sport a maple leaf print in the colours of his high school, college and the Minnesota Timberwolves. What better way to celebrate a budding career? They released May 1, 2015.

Nike LeBron 12 Elite
The LeBron 12 Elite gets a refresh with a university red upper and bright citrus, bright crimson and white accents. It released just before playoffs began as part of the Nike Basketball Elite Series Team Collection, alongside an updated Kobe X Elite and KD7 Elite. LeBron debuted his Player Exclusives featuring the Cavs’ wine and gold last Monday—but good luck getting a pair of your own.

Brandblack JCrossover 2 Playoff PE
Jamal Crawford has been a force playing for the L.A. Clippers in round one, and will continue to kill it wearing these special Player Exclusives from Brandblack. This particular JCrossover 2 Playoff concept features a red upper with snakeskin applique along the ankle. It’s for fans only, though: availability was limited to San Francisco only.

Jordan Brand Jordan CP3.VIII AE Mismatch

The moment is seared into basketball fans’ collective memory: Chris Paul unleashing the force within to nail the buzzer-beating layup against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7 of their series. To honour his easygoing attitude off the court and monstrous play on it, Jordan Brand took his playoffs shoe, the CP3.VIII AE, and released it in alternate colour-blocking.
