“As the country’s lone NBA team, we are honoured to again be part of the NBA Canada Series,” said Masai Ujiri, President and General Manager of the Raptors, in a prepared statement. “The crowds last season in Vancouver and Montreal were enthusiastic and passionate about the NBA. We look forward to the same excitement for the Raptors in those two cities and our nation’s capital.”
Toronto’s team will play a total of three games, which include a rematch against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 23, plus games with arguably lower stakes against the L.A. Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 4 and 14, respectively. The Chicago Bulls will also participate in the preseason tour of the Great White North, which will feature stops in Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
