Raptors 905 force Game 3

Raptors 905 Look To Win First Ever NBA D-League Title

It all comes down to Thursday night.

After a tremendous 32-point, 10-board, five-steal, and two-block performance in Game 2, Pascal Siakam has been able to push the Raptors 905 into a series-deciding game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. On Thursday night, a new D-League Champion will be crowned.

A night removed from dressing for a pivotal Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA playoffs, the Fred VanVleet and Siakam made a quick trip down the to rejoin the 905 in the biggest game of their franchise’s two-year history.

VanVleet poured in 16-points, seven-rebounds, and seven-assists while E.J. Singler chipped in with 15-points of his own in a 95-85 win by the Toronto 905.

With Toronto Raptor stars, DeMar DeRozan, P.J. Tucker, DeMarre Carroll, among others in attendance, the young Raptors took care of business as they now prepare for the final game of the D-League season.

“It’s so great man, those guys don’t have to come down here, they’re going through the playoffs and it’s really intense for them but, just seeing them out there just shows the group of guys that we have and how close we are and just [seeing them] jumping around and going crazy — it definitely helps,” Siakam said following the contest.

It now comes down to Game 3. Despite losing Axel Toupane and Edy Tavares, both of whom have received NBA contracts, the 905, led by Coach of the Year Jerry Stackhouse have been able to overcome everything that came into their way.

It will be a big night of basketball tonight as both Toronto basketball squads are set to play their biggest games of the season to this date!
