Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Suspended Two Games

A little bit over a week after news broke of Monta Ellis’ and Reggie Bullock’s suspensions, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of the Detroit Pistons received a two-game ban.

The 24-year old restricted free agent pled guilty for intoxicated driving in a case stemming from this past March. Caldwell-Pope was caught driving 20mph over the limit and failed a field sobriety test in the process.

As he enters restricted free agency, Caldwell-Pope expects to receive a significant raise after averaging 13.8-points per game and shooting 35% from beyond the arc. How this offence will penalize the guard is still unknown, but it seems very likely that the Detroit Pistons are hoping to match any offer handed down to the University of Georgia Alum.
