NBA Digital, Vice Media Officially Agree to New Partnership

Vice Media has officially signed a new contract with NBA digital with the intentions of producing original mobile as well as digital programming. According to the specifics of the deal, Vice Sports will be responsible for producing projects for international audiences.

In fact, the first series is already in the works!

The Way We Ball will be Vice Sports’ first production, a project which will look at where players such as Emmanuel Mudiay and Joel Embiid got their starts.

“The NBA has done a great job of positioning itself at the forefront of global sports, both on and off the court, and as we continue to expand our content offering in the sports space, it’s an incredibly exciting league to partner and grow with,” said Vice Sports publisher Will Kiersky. “Exploring global youth culture and sports through the lens of NBA players will make an amazing series.”

Vice Sports previously had a deal with the IOC and were held responsible for creating an Olympics channel focused on telling stories on the athletes participating in international competition.

Prepare basketball fans, Vice Sports and the NBA are teaming up to create something very special this fall!
