Does Anybody Know What is Going on in Chicago?
Can’t the Chicago Bulls just leave poor Nikola Mirotic alone?
All he wants is to recover from his facial fractures in peace. Is that too much to ask for?
Well, since eating a vicious punch from teammate Bobby Portis, who has since apologized and accepted an eight-game suspension, no one has heard from the Bulls forward. According to reports, Mirotic hasn’t been returning text messages from any of his teammates, and has not been in contact with any of the team’s personnel.
“I’ve seen altercations happen every year, every week, every month. I saw it on the best teams I played on, where you have that competitive spirit,” commented head coach Fred Hoidberg on the situation.
Center Robin Lopez reiterated his coach’s words going as far as stating that the culture in the Bull’s locker room is “great” and that “part of that good mojo we have right now is going to be huge in unifying the two.”
While it remains to be seen what will happen next in Chicago, one report suggested that Mirotic has no plans of returning to the team, hoping to move back to Europe and play overseas.
At the very least, at least the Bulls believe they have that good mojo going for them!
