Former Chicago Bulls Star Ben Gordon Arrested in Los Angeles
Since departing from the NBA, former Chicago Bulls guard Ben Gordon has had trouble integrating into society.
It’s not that easy becoming a common folk after accumulating $80-million of wealth in the span of a decade while playing professional basketball. Gordon is learning this the hard way as the ex-NBA player was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon after getting into a fight with a man in an apartment building, fleeing from the scene with several thousand dollars of the victim’s money.
TMZ sports has learned that Gordon threatened the victim in an effort to get his security deposit back. The news and gossip site has been told that the man gave Gordon part of the money back before Gordon subsequently left the apartment. Upon the cops arrival, Gordon returned to the building demanding the rest of his security deposit, but was arrested instead for felony robbery. He was later released on $50,000 bail.
This was not Gordon’s first run-in with the law. Earlier in the year, he was placed on a psychiatric hold in New York City after allegedly locking himself in his gym with a woman, while brandishing a blade. Back in June, he was also arrested for pulling fire alarms at his apartment complex.
An scary situation, it most definitely seems like Gordon needs some sort of help and hopefully he will receive exactly that. It’s safe to say, the 34-year old will not be making a run at an NBA comeback any time soon.
