Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr Win Rudy Tomjanovich Award
As the Golden State Warriors look to take a commanding three-games to one lead over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has reason to celebrate early.
Today, it was announced that Kerr has won the Rudy Tomjanovich Award, a prize given to an NBA coach who has shown excellent cooperation with the media and fans, while excelling on the court. Kerr who initially won the award back in his rookie campaign in 2015, beat out finalists Brad Stevens of the Boston Celtics, Mike D’Antoni of the Houston Rockets, Steve Clifford, formerly of the Charlotte Hornets, and Doc Rivers of the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Professional Basketball Writers Association votes on the award.
The accolade list simply keeps on growing for one of the most decorated personalities in the game.
