Manu Ginobili Expected to Announce Decision on Season Next Week
Tim Duncan has been out of the game for a couple of years and Tony Parker is now set to commence a fresh start with the Charlotte Hornets.
Even Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green have both moved on. The only remnant remaining of the classic San Antonio Spurs is Manu Ginobili and it is still uncertain if the veteran Argentinian is to return for a 17th NBA season. With all the anticipation over how the Spurs will look in the upcoming season, an individual very close to the Spurs legend expects an answer to come very shortly.
“The 20th hasn’t even reported if he’s still playing. I imagine there will be news next week,” Sepo Ginobili, Manu’s older brother, said at a basketball clinic.
Manu, who already is under contract with the Spurs for next season has contemplated retirement in the past. He is coming off a season in which he has averaged 8.9-points per game.
Ginobili played a vital role in the playoffs, allowing the Spurs to live to see another day against the Golden State Warriors when the 41-year old guard poured in 16-points off the bench in a San Antonio victory.
