David West Retires from the NBA After 15 Seasons

There really is no better way to go out.

On Thursday morning, David West confirmed on his personal Twitter page that he is retiring from the NBA following 15 seasons in the League – with his final two ending with championship victories as a member of the Golden State Warriors. The two-time All-Star spent the majority of his career with the New Orleans Hornets and Indiana Pacers, and played out the final three seasons of his career with the San Antonio Spurs and the Warriors.

Off the heels of Manu Ginobili’s retirement announcement, West becomes the second big name to call it a career this offseason.

The Xavier University alum ends his career averaging 13.6-points and 6.4-rebounds per game.
