Dwyane Wade Re-Signs with the Miami Heat, to Play Final NBA Season
Dwyane Wade isn’t ready to wrap it up – but he is closing in on the finish line.
According to Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610, Wade is set to return to the Miami Heat on a one-year deal for an undisclosed amount of money after which he is set to retire in the 2019 offseason. The 2018-19 campaign will mark Wade’s 16th year in the NBA, a career that has included multiple All-Star appearances, three NBA championships, and one Finals’ MVP award.
“I don’t know the terms of the contract,” Said Spolane. “But Heat still have their full taxpayer exception and the vet minimum would also be an option.”
There has been some noise around Wade potentially signing in China when an Asian team came out offering Wade a monster three year contract. Wade would shoot those rumours down, announcing that he has no plans in playing anywhere outside of Miami.
For his career, the 12-time All-Star has averaged 22.5-points and 5.5-assists per game and is without a doubt on his way to the NBA Hall of Fame.
