Former Spur Brent Barry Joins San Antonio Front Office
Although making a smooth transition into broadcasting, Brent Barry has always been interested in an eventual front office role with an NBA team.
Now, that dream has become a reality.
The popular TNT personality will depart the television screen and join the San Antonio Spurs front office, replacing Monty Williams, who has left to join the Philadelphia 76ers coaching staff. Barry has previously had conversation with the Atlanta Hawks regarding the team’s general manager vacancy in 2017. He was also considered by the Detroit Pistons this past offseason according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Golden State Warriors were interested in bringing Barry in as a scout.
The 46 year old played four seasons with the team, helping guide the Spurs to two NBA championship.
