NBA Board of Governors Approved 2018-19 Suggested Rule Changes

The new rule changes have been approved and will come into affect this coming season!

On September 21, the NBA Board of Governors unanimously approved three new proposed rules. The shot clock will now be reset to 14 seconds off an offensive rebound, as opposed to 24; the clear path foul rule will be simplified; and lastly the “hostile act” definition will be expanded for the purposes of instigating instant replay review.

In an attempt to speed up the pace of play, these rule changes have been met with approval from the NBA fanbase.

The NBA season is set to commence on October 16, 2018.
