Warriors Presented with Championship Rings on Opening Night
As the NBA regular season got underway on Tuesday night, the reigning NBA Champion Golden State Warriors were presented with their championship rings prior to tip-off.
Ahead of their matchup against the Russell Westbrook-less Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors unveiled their third championship banner in their last four years and received their rings. On what was defined as a weird night by some Warriors, the rings the Warriors received had their own special little twist – literally.
Designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, the Warriors received the first ever reversible championship rings. The innovative work of art featured each players name and number, as well as the results of each series etched around the ring. The ring itself has 56 stones to represent the number of years the Warriors inhabited the Bay area. The rings also include 74 sapphires, representing the amount of postseason and regular season wins the Warriors accumulated over the 2017-18 campaign.

The top of the ring is also a twist off. Removing the top would reveal the team’s slogan: “Strength in Numbers”.
It’s nice to be champs!
