Rockets Want Jimmy Buckets

Rockets Want Butler

Rockets Re-enter Butler Sweepstakes, Offer Four First Round Picks

While it seems as though the Jimmy Butler drama has somewhat subsided, the Houston Rockets are by no means ready to give up on the superstar forward.

The Rockets have reportedly offered four first round picks to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the services of Jimmy Butler, who is in the final year of his contract. The Wolves still remain adamant about retaining Butler, although it appears as Butler is looking towards moving on from the team in free agency.

The Rockets are willing to unload a big chunk of their future with the confidence that Butler will re-sign with the club. The Rockets lost Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute over the offseason which took a big hit at their defense. Acquiring Butler would not only provide the Rockets with another dynamic scorer, but one of the best two-way players in the entire NBA.

Currently sitting at 1-3, the Rockets have Michael Carter-Williams as the starting three.
