Spurs Rookie Lonnie Walker IV Tears Meniscus, Out Indefinitely

The San Antonio Spurs will start their 2018-19 regular season without the services of rookie point guard Lonnie Walker IV.

The electric Miami alum has suffered a right medial meniscus tear on his right knee and will undergo surgery on Monday in San Antonio. Team physician Dr. David Schimdt will perform the surgery. While the timetable is not yet clear, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has stated that Walker will miss somewhere between six-to-eight weeks.

Walker suffered the injury in the final stretch of the Spurs game against the Detroit Pistons.

Despite the injury, the Spurs should be able to manage their situation and as their expected, point guard Dejounte Murray was said to be relegated to the bench.
